Korean BBQ (갈비)
My grandma's Korean BBQ recipe. When I asked for it the first time, she wrote it on a note card in Korean... - Diana


(Recipe is for approx. 5 lbs of short ribs and can also be used as a marinade for steak, chicken or pork)

1 cup Kikkoman soy sauce
2 cups water
2 cups sugar
3 tablespoons crushed garlic
5 stalks green spring onion (chopped) (optional)
1 teaspoon sesame oil


Mix together ingredients. Taste after adding water, soy sauce, and sugar.
Be careful not to add to much water (no taste) or too much sugar (causes it to burn on the grill and oven).

Marinade a minimum of 5-6 hours (best if left overnight)

Barbecue (grill or oven) and enjoy!
