This is a creamy cajun potato soup... delicious!


5 or 6 red potatoes, sliced thin
1/2 lb. Jimmy Dean hot sausage
4 oz. Savoie's Real Cajun tasso pork
1 cup kale, chopped
3 green onions, chopped
1 pint heavy cream
2 cups chicken broth
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. basil
Tony's season to taste
Black pepper to taste
Parmesan cheese


In heavy pot cook sausage and pork with Tony's seasoning; drain. Add back to pot; add green onions and sauté for just 1 minute or so. Add chicken broth and heavy cream bring to boil; add potatoes, basil, and sugar; cover and cook until fork tender. Add kale cover and cook for a couple of minutes. Add black pepper and more Tony's if desired. In a cup mix 1/2 teaspoon starch and 2 tablespoons water; add slowly to thicken soup. Top soup with parmesan cheese. Serve with hawaiian sweet rolls.
