Crescent Rolls (Cookies)
1 lb Butter (2 Cups) - room temperature/soft
1 1/4 Cups Sour Cream
4 Cups Flour
1 1/2 Cups Sugar
1 1/2 Cups Walnuts - ground/chopped fine
1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon Mapleine or Maple flavored extract (I use 1/2 tsp) (See Blog tag)
Mix sugar, walnuts, and maple in a plastic bag until well blended.
InstructionsBlend butter, sour cream, and eggs. Blend in flour one cup at a time. Dough will be sticky. Divide dough into 7 balls - approximately 6 - 7 ounces each. Wrap individually and chill.
Roll out dough ball into a circle. Sprinkle 1/3 - 1/2 cup of filling onto circle. Cut into 16 wedges. (I use a pizza cutter) Roll each cookie from the outside to the middle.
Place cookies on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake @ 350° for 20 -25 minutes (light brown). Convection - 325° for 12- 13 minutes.
