Chocolate Chip Squares
Ingredients1/2 lb Butter melted
1 Box (16 oz) Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp vanilla (I often use 2 tsp Vanilla and 1 tsp almond extract)
3 Cups Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Baking Powder
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 Cup walnuts - optional
InstructionsMelt butter - let cool a little. Blend melted butter and sugar. Add vanilla/almond. Mix in eggs one at a time, then remaining dry ingredients. Add 1 cup chocolate chips and nuts, stir gently.
Pour into a well greased cookie pan. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top of dough.
I use 9.5" x 15" pan. A cake pan (9"x13") will make thicker bars. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
