Cole Slaw
I found this recipe on the back of a bag of shredded cabbage. After tweaking it to our taste a new favorite was born. We like the slightly tart flavor of the dill pickle juice (rather than relish), vinegar, mustard and ketchup.
Ingredients
2 packs (24 oz) shredded cabbage*1/4 Cup Pickle Relish (I use 1/8 cup dill pickle juice instead)
1/8 Cup Cider Vinegar
1/2 Cup Mayonnaise (I use Miracle Whip)
Optional - shredded carrot to taste
Optional - 1/8 Cup of Ranch Dressing
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 tsp Mustard
1 tsp Ketchup
Salt & Pepper to taste
Instructions
Mix well and Refrigerate. 6-8 Servings.*If chopping your own cabbage - 2 Cups of chopped cabbage = 4 oz. This recipe uses approximately 12 Cups chopped cabbage. Once you blend everything it shrinks considerably.
