5 Cups Flour
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
4 tsp baking powder
pinch salt
1/2 lb Butter
2 Tbs Lard (Crisco or Butter)
4 Eggs (3 Whole plus 1 Yolk)
1/2 pint sour cream

Middle Layer:
1 lb finely ground walnuts
1/2 Cup Sugar
(Mix together)

2 Cans Pie Filling (at least) cherry (cut in half or smaller), pineapple, blueberry


Mix first 4 dry ingredients with butter in pie crust fashion. In separate bowl mix 3 whole eggs plus one yolk - then add to blended dry ingredients. Add sour cream to mixture slowly - you may not need it all. Don't make dough too wet.

Separate dough into 3 parts. Press one part into bottom of Ungreased cookie sheet. Top with nut mixture - pat firmly. Place another layer of dough on top of nuts. Spread pie filling(s) on top. If using multiple flavors - spread in equal parts (half, third) trying not to blend together.

Roll out third layer of dough - about the size of half the cookie sheet. Cut into 1/2" strips. Criss cross strips over filling.

Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
