Bean & Sausage Casserole
Ingredients
1 lb sausage (Jimmy Dean hot)1 Cup chopped celery
2 Cups chopped onion
1 Can (15 oz or so) Each:
Green String Beans - drain
Yellow String Beans -drain
Lima Beans (Butter Beans)- drain
Kidney Beans - drain (hot -optional)
Pork and Beans (28 oz size) - do Not drain
Tomato Soup (12 oz)
6 oz tomato paste
2 Tablespoons Yellow Mustard (brown or spicy - optional)
3/4 Cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon chili powder
Instructions
Brown sausage. Remove from pan - do not drain. In the sausage grease sauté celery and onions, about 7-8 minutes until soft - not brown. Remove from pan, drain any remaining grease.In big bowl, mix soup, paste, mustard, chili powder & brown sugar. Mix together until sugar dissolves. Add beans, sausage, celery & onions.
Pour into an ungreased 9x13 pan (will be full, I sometimes use a deep dish pan.)
Bake uncovered at 350⁰ until bubbly, about one hour. (Stir after 30 minutes - optional.)
