The Garlic Bread


1 loaf fresh french bread sliced or un sliced 1 inch.

1 stick unsalted butter room temperature or melted in microwave safe small bowl 15 seconds at a time using paper toweling to cover bowl so as to prevent spatter.

Garlic powder or fresh Garlic

Parmesan cheese or fresh shredded




Coat both sides of french bread with butter. Be sure to brush completely to the crust to avoid burning. To each side add 1/4 teaspoon of thyme, rosemary and garlic. Sprinkle well with the Parmesan cheese. Bake on top shelf of oven at 400 degrees usually for about 6-7 minutes or until lightly browned. If you desire crunchy bread turn and brown the other side for about the same time. Be sure to keep an eye on it.
