Yellow Cake

Ingredients

1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup white sugar
8 egg yolks
3/4 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 cups cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour 2 -8"round pans.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg yolks one at a time, then stir in vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture alternatley with the milk, mixing just until incorporated. Pour batter into prepared pans.
Bake for 25-30 minutes. or until tops springs back when lightly tapped. Cool 15 minutes before turning our onto cooling racks
