Rocky Road Cake

Ingredients

Sift- 2 Cups Flour
1 3/4 Cups Sugar
4 Tb. Cocoa (use 5 Tb)

Bring to a boil, the following, then add to the dry ingredients:
1 Cup Cold Water
1/2 Cup Oil
1 Cube Butter

Beat and then stir into the above:
1/2 Cup Buttermilk
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 Eggs

Instructions

Pour batter into lightly greased pan (11x13 or 15x18)
Bake 400° for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and frost while hot.

Frosting-
Bring to a boil: 1 1/2 Cubes Butter
1/3 Cup Cocoa
1/2 Cup Buttermilk
Take off of burner and add, 2 (1 lb) boxes of Powdered Sugar, Stir well, and add:
1 Cup Mini Marshmallows
2 Cups Chopped Nuts
Stir till all mixed and spread on hot cake.
(I've found that I have to make the frosting recipe 1 1/2 times and add more marshmallows to completely cover the cake the way we like.)
