Mildred Wettstein's Dinner Rolls

Ingredients

2 cups milk
1 cup butter, cut into small pieces
6 cups flour, divided into, 2 cups flour, and 4 cups flour
2 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 Tbsp dry yeast

Instructions

Heat till butter melts: 2 cups milk
1 cup Butter, cut into small pieces


Mix together: 2 cups of flour,
2 tsp. salt, and 1/2 cup sugar


Pour in the Hot milk and butter, beat until well mixed.


Add & mix: 2 large eggs


Add & mix: 1 Tbsp. dry yeast, and 4 cups flour (1 cup at a time)


KNEAD for 8 minutes.

Place in an oiled bowl or container, turn to coat.  LET RISE till double (about 45 to 60 minutes)


STIR DOWN with a fork.  Roll out on a floured surface and cut with a biscuit cutter or glass.


Place on baking pan, Cover with plastic wrap and LET RISE until double (about 30 to 40 minutes)


Bake at 350 for 18 to 20 minutes.  Brush tops with melted butter.
