Baked Apple Butter

Ingredients

3 quarts quartered and peeled apples
3 cups water
5 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon cloves

Instructions

Cook apples and water until apples soften. Press pulp through sieve.

To each 8 cups pulp and sugar, cinnamon, allspice and cloves.

Bake at 275 degrees for 8 to 10 hours. Stir every half hour.

Pack into sterilized jars, screw lids on tight. Invert to seal
