Ingredients
2 cups sugar1 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup water
1 cup butter
2 cups raw peanuts
1 teaspoons soda
Instructions
Combine sugar, syrup and water. Cook until sugar dissolves. Put lid on to steam sugar crystals. When syrup boils, blend in butter. Stir frequently. When syrup reaches 280 degrees, add nuts and stir constantly until temperature reaches hard crack at 305 degrees. Remove from heat and quickly stir in soda. Pour onto two buttered cookie sheets. As the candy cools, stretch by lifting and pulling from edges. Loosen from pan as soon as possible. Break into pieces.Store in airtight container.
