Baked Pear Butter

Ingredients

Pears

6 cups sugar
3 Tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon cloves

Instructions

Peel and core pears. Crush into large pot. Cook until soft. Press pulp through sieve.

For 12 cups pear pulp add remaining ingredients.

Bake at 275 degrees for 8 to 10 hours, stirring every half hour.

At around 8 hours, remove a small portion of butter to cool. When it reaches a thick jam consistency, remove from oven and pack into sterilized jars. Put lids on tightly. Invert to seal.
