I found this recipe in a magazine in the early 2000's and with a couple of modifications (noted below) it became son Bob's favorite. In November 2017, I made these for son Harry's wedding (to Madison Lucas). On a whim I added white chocolate chips and they were even better!

Ingredients

1 Cup Butter
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Egg Yolk
2 tsp Vanilla (optional add 1/4 - 1/2 tsp orange extract or orange peel)
1/4 tsp Salt
2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
*1 Cup Raisins (I use Craisins/Dried Cranberries)
*1 Cup Chopped Walnuts
*1 Cup White Chocolate Chips - optional
*If using all three - cut amount of each to 3/4 cup

Instructions

Cream butter and sugar, blend in egg yolk, vanilla and salt, mix well. Stir in flour. Mix in craisins and walnuts (and optional white chocolate chips). Drop by small teaspoons onto greased baking sheets.

Bake @ 400°F for 10 - 12 minutes or until light brown on bottom.

Makes about 5 dozen small cookies.

(Convection 370°F for 6 - 8 minutes. Doughmaker cookie sheet.)
