Slow Cooker Witches Brew Stew

Ingredients

1 pound Italian sausage
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup onion
2 packets onion soup mix (1 ounce each), separated
8 ounces button mushrooms
4 sliced carrots
1 cup chopped celery
.75-pound bag of halved baby potatoes
1 can Italian-style petite diced tomatoes (14 ounces)
5 cups beef broth
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar

Instructions

In a skillet, brown the Italian sausage and lean ground beef. Drain excess fat and transfer to the slow cooker.
2. Add diced onions, and one packet of onion soup mix to the slow cooker.
3. Add the mushrooms to the slow cooker.
4. Place the diced carrots and chopped celery in the slow cooker.
5. Add the halved baby potatoes to the mixture. In a bowl, mix the remaining packet of onion soup mix with the beef broth. Pour this mixture into the slow cooker.
6. Add the diced tomatoes and red wine vinegar to the slow cooker. Stir all the ingredients in the slow cooker to combine.
7. Set the slow cooker to low heat and cook for 4-6 hours (or 2-3 hrs on high).
Serve the Slow Cooker Witches Brew Stew hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired. Don't forget to have some bread or rolls on the side for dipping into the delicious broth. Brace yourself for a truly magical and tantalizing dining experience!
