Bacon-Cheeseburger Potato Pie

Ingredients

2 lbs ground beef
3/4 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tsp yellow mustard
1/2 tsp salt
4 cups water
6 Tblsp butter
1 tsp garlic salt
1 cup milk
4 cups plain mashed potato mix (dry)
2 cups + shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 tomato, chopped
3 slices precooked bacon, crumbled
Green onions, sliced

Instructions

Heat oven to 375.
Mix beef, bread crumbs, onion, ketchup, mustard, and salt.
Press into bottom and up sides of 9-inch pie plate.
Bake 15 minutes.
Place water, butter and garlic salt in sauce pan, and heat to boiling.
Remove from heat; add milk.
With fork, stir in mashed potatoes.
Stir in 1/2 cup cheddar.
Remove partially baked beef crust from oven; pour off any drippings (use another pie pan to keep it in place)
Spoon potato mixture evenly into crust. Sprinkle with additional cheese.
Bake 15 minutes longer, or until beef is thoroughly cooked.
Top with bacon, tomatoes, and green onions.
