Quick Baking Mix (from Quick Cooking Sep/Oct '02)

Ingredients

9 c all-purpose flour
1/3 c baking powder
3 t salt
2 c butter flavored shortening (I have use regular as well)
1/4 c sugar
1 t cream of tartar

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Store in airtight container in a cool dry place or in the freezer for up to 6 months.

Yield: 12 cups
