Granola Bar

Ingredients

Oatmeal
Rice Crispies
Wheat Germ (opt)
Ground Flax (opt)
crushed nuts (opt)
dried fruits (date pieces, raisins, cranberries)

3/4 - 1 c Brown sugar
2/3 - 3/4 c Honey (or corn syrup or mixture)
3 tsp. vanilla
6 - 8 Tbsp Butter
1/2 - 1 tsp salt

Instructions

Makes 36 bars

Mix the following in a large mixing pot (I used my big spaghetti pot)

8 cups of mixture granola and rice crispies ( I also added wheat germ and ground flax into this mixture for the total of "8ish" cups)
crushed nuts
dried fruits

In a saucepan bring the following to a simmer stirring constantly:
brown sugar, honey, butter, salt

Take off heat and stir in vanilla.

Pour over dry mix and stir. Spread into a large jelly roll pan. Allow to cool then cut into bars.
