Mushroom Turnovers

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter
9 ounches cream cheese
1-1/2 cups flour
1/2 pound mushrooms, chopped
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons minced onion
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon salt
pepper
1/4 teaspoon crumbled thyme
1/4 cup sour cream

Instructions

Cream butter and cream cheese. Blend in flour. Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate 1 hour.

Saute mushrooms and onions in butter. Add flour, salt, pepper and thyme. Stir in sour cream. Remove from heat.

Roll dough thin. Cut out 3-inch circles. Place mounds of mushroom mixture in center. Moisten edges of dough, fold over and seal. Prick tops with fork. Beat 1 egg and brush each turnover lightly.

Bake at 450 degrees for 12 minutes.
