Pecan Tassies

Ingredients

3 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup flour, sifted
1 egg
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 Tblsp butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla
dash of salt
2/3 cup broken pecans
24 pecan halves

Instructions

Cream cheese and butter.
Add flour, and blend with fork.
Shape into 24 1-inch balls.
Place in mini-muffin tins - ungreased.
Press dough against bottoms and sides.
Beat egg, sugar, butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth; add pecans.
Put filling in pastry, and place a pecan half on top of filling.
Bake at 325 for 25 minutes.
Remove from pans to cool.
