Stookeys bbq *****
Stookey's Barbeque is located on Route 11 in West Nanticoke. They have been in business forever and it tastes the same now as when I was a little girl. They have the best barbeque sandwiches made with apple wood smoked pork, beef, turkey or ham & topped with relish. You can eat there or you can do take-out. It is simply delicious--no need to say more than that!
Ingredients
Pork ButtsApple wood or Hickory wood soak for at least an hour
Smoker
Instructions
I used hickory chips. Soaked for an hour and placed the pork butts on the Barbeque. Let it smoke for about two hours or longer and then brought it in to finish in the slow cooker Delicious not like Stookeys but mighty close enjoyI did a side by side it definetly was apple wood
MY NOTES
When you cannot smoke outside. Liquid smoke 1 teaspoon per 2 lbs.
