Pickled Beets

Ingredients

2 ea. - 15 oz. canned beets (less juice from 1 can)
1 cup sugar
1 cup vinegar
8 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
2 or 3 bay leaves

Instructions

Mix sugar, beet juice (from one can), vinegar and spices and bring to boil. Add beets and let cool.

Recipe say "do not boil" but I boil for several minutes.
