Texas Sheet Cake

Ingredients

Cake:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup margarine
5 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup water
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Glaze:
1/2 cup butter
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
6 tablespoons milk
1 pound box powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

Cake:
Grease and flour 10 x 15 x 1-inch sheet pan. Combine sugar and flour. In saucepan combine margarine, cocoa and water. Bring to boil; remove from heat and add to flour sugar mixgture. Mix well.

Beat eggs. Stir soda into buttermilk and add to beaten eggs along with vanilla. Add to flour/cocoa mixture. Pour into prepared pan.

Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.

While cake is baking make glaze. Heat margarine, cocoa and milk to boiling and add to powdered sugar; beat well. Pour over hot cake when it comes out of the oven.

Sprinkle with nuts.
