Healthy porridge for those looking to maximise the health benefits of their breakfast meal while eating carby grains.
Ingredients2/3 cup Groats (oat grains)
1.2 cup Water
80gr Dates chopped
2 tbsp Coconut oil, virgin organic
2 tsp Cinnamon
2 tbsp Hulled hemp seeds
2 tbsp Coca (optional)
Cream, pouring (not thickened cream, make sure there is no gelatin or thickening agent in the cream, just plain pouring cream)
InstructionsSoak the groats over night.
Put the groats and water together in a pot. Heat at low temp.
Add the other ingredients.
Let the mixture warm up and stir to make sure it doesn't stick to the bottom. Keep the heat low.
Cook for about 10-20 minutes.
The porridge should be thick and well mixed before serving.
Serve warm or hot.
Pour cream on the porridge once served.
