Deer Jerky


1 tsp liquid smoke
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp msg (accent)
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
couple of drops of Tobasco


Mix all ingriedients together.

For 1 pound to 1 1/2 pounds deer meat. Trim meat in small thin slices. Put slices in gallon zip lock with sauce and marinate for 20 hours turning every once in a while. Marinate in refrigerator.

To cook drain on paper towels. Drape strips over oven racks in single layers. Bake on 120 degrees with oven door cracked for 8 to 12 hours.

*Note: For spicer jerky sprinkle with pepper blend before cooking.

*Note: Can substitute any meat for jerky.
