I started making guacamole using the recipe from The Good Housekeeping Cookbook (copyright 1973). Over the years I have modified it, including adding the yogurt to make this my recipe.
Ingredients2 medium plum tomatoes, seeded and finely chopped
1/2 of a small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons lime juice (or lemon juice)
1/4 -1/2 cup non-fat greek plain yogurt
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (Texas Pete, Sriracha) or to taste. I use more.
2 ripe avocados, seeded, peeled, and coarsely mashed (I use a fork and finely mash)
