Fudge That Will Make All Your Friends Jealous
This is an easy homemade chocolate fudge recipe. The old fashioned fudge is a popular recipe for parties, Christmas, or anytime around the holidays. Creamy and smooth fudge is the perfect dessert.
Ingredients
1-1/2 sticks butter3 cups sugar
5 ounce can evaporated milk (2/3 cup)
12 ounce bag chocolate chips
7 ounce can marshmallow cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
1. Melt the butter in a saucepan on medium-high heat.2. Add the evaporated milk and sugar and stir.
3. Bring to a full rolling boil on medium, stirring constantly. Cook until the candy thermometer reaches 234-degrees or for 4 minutes.
Remove from heat.
4. Add marshmallow cream. Stir until blended. (To remove the marshmallow cream, remove lid and seal then heat jar in microwave for 15 - 25 seconds. Or use a spoon that has been dipped in very hot water.)
5. Add vanilla. Stir.
6. Add chocolate chips and stir until blended. (I use semi-sweet)
7. Add walnuts (optional).
8. Pour into pan and cool. (I line the bottom and sides of the pan with parchment paper for easy removal.)
