Liqueur Soaked Cake
For 10" cake made from scratch.
Ingredients
2 cups of sugar4 cups of water
Grated lime zest / 3 tsp lemon extract
1/3 cup Liquor (between 1/4 and 1/2 cup)
Instructions
1. Cook start and water until syrupy and sticky2. Let cool, then add liquor.
3. Poke holes on top of cake with toothpick. Add liquid slowly.
4. Let cake sit overnight.
This cake does not need to be refrigerated.
