Trifle
Ingredients
Sponge Cake:175g sugar
3 eggs
Pinch of salt
125 g flour
1 tsp baking powder
50 g butter (melted
2 tbs boiling water
Instructions
Step 1: Sponge CakeBeat egg, salt, sugar till thick, add other ingredient (except butter) and mix well, melt butter add to the mixture and bake on the moderate oven till lightly brown.
Step 2:
Place sponge cake on the base of bowl spread over sherry or brandy on top of cake (5 to 6 tablespoon)
Step 3: Fruit cocktail (1 can)
Drain the juice of the fruit (leave a side the fruit) - Spread the juice over the cake (3 to 4 tablespoon) and later place the fruit.
Step 4: Custard
4 egg-yolk (beat till thick), 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup milk. Boil sugar + milk add beaten egg. Stir well till thick. Pour over the fruit cocktail.
Step 5: Crushed cookies
Crush mary regal till fine and spread over the custard.
Step 6: Canned mandarin orange
Drain the juice. Place the orange over the crashed cookies.
Step 7: Jell-O
Make jello (choose the red color) - place over the cookies.
Note: Prepare jell-o overnight for better result.
Step 8: Cream
1 lemon rind (and take the juice) pour over the sherry or white wine (10 cl = 4 fl oz), and 2 tbsp brandy for overnight.
Next day: drain the juice mix with 60 g sugar, 30 cl (1/2 pint) double cream and pinch nutmeg.
Beat about 10 minutes. Pour over Jell-O
Keep refrigerated for 1 day.
