Ingredients1/2 cup butter
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 TB chopped garlic and a bit of its juice
2 cups milk
6 ounces grated Parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
Nutmeg to taste
InstructionsMelt butter, than add garlic and garlic juice.
Add cream cheese and start to whisk.
Add milk gradually whisking in parmesan cheese. Continue to whisk until creamy. Add black pepper and nutmeg to taste.
I serve this over any pasta and with any meat I choose. Its the easiest alfredo recipe and not NEAR the fat and calories of traditional alfredo sauce. I actually used a pkg of fat free cream cheese on my first attempt because I wasnt sure if the recipe would even work and didnt want to waste a good pkg of cheese. And WOW to my surprise it was REAL and you couldnt tell that it was fat free. So this is a very forgiving recipe.
