Peas and Drop Dumplings
Ingredients
2 cans English peas1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter
Drop Dumplings
1 1/2 Cups self rising Flour
1 tspn pepper
1 tspn garlic power
1 tspn dried parsley
2 TBsp canola oil
1/3 cup buttermilk

Instructions
Empty cans of peas into pot. Do not drain the peas.Add water, milk, seasonings and butter and bring to slight boil.
Then, in a mixing bowl, combine S/R Flour, seasonings, oil, and buttermilk and stir until mixture is lively and the sides of the bowl comes clean.
You can add more oil , flour, seasonings or buttermilk until you get the right consistency.
Basically you are making biscuit dough in a bowl.
Scoop spoon full of dough and drop into slightly boiling peas. Stir gently to coat and let boil for 3 or 4 minutes. Turn temp down to low and let simmer for 10 minutes.
Yes I season my dough because I just like to maximize flavor.
