Runza or Beirots
Ingredients
5 cups AP flour1/2 Cup sugar
2 pkg yeast
3/4 C milk
1 1/2 C water
1/2 C lard/oil
2 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
Mix with mixer then pour out on floured surface. I probably used another 2 cups of flour to knead and keep surface floured. After kneading the dough, place in large bowl. Pour a little oil over it to keep it from sticking and cover with lid. Place in warm place till first rise. After 1 hour punch down and let rise another hour. Reknead the dough and cut into large circles or squares and fill with meat/cabbage or ham n cheese. Bake 8-10 mins or until golden brown.I tried this out on my neighbor who absolutely loved them, however her favorite was the ham and cheese. I have to say, I like my cabbage better with a fork lol
