Beef Ravioli and cabbage stew
Ingredients
1 bag Wal-Mart large beef ravioli
½ head chopped cabbage or 1 small head chopped cabbage
1 onion diced
2 diced carrots
1 pkg cream cheese
1 can hunts spaghetti sauce
1 can diced tomatoes
½ TB brown sugar
Thyme/basil/garlic/pepper to taste
¼ TB olive oil
Parmesan cheese to sprinkle afterwards
Instructions
Saute veggies in olive oil then add sauces and seasonings and simmer. Boil ravioli as directed and set aside. Add everything else. I add 1 cup of the starchy water to the stew to keep it from getting to thick but don’t get runny. Stew should be creamy and tasty. After you add the raviolis, let simmer gently another 10 mins to continue cooking and absorbing. Turn off pot or keep on warm until ready to serve. A nice crusty bread would be great for dipping in the cheesy tomato sauce. Sprinkle parm on top for extra richness.
