Sweet and Sour Meatballs (St Marks cookbook)
Ingredients
2 lb ground beef1/2 c dry parsley
2 eggs
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 c catsup
2 tbsp minced onion (flakes)
1 c. cornflakes, crushed
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
These can be made ahead of time and frozen to reheat.Combine all ingredients and mix well. Form small balls. Place in a 9x13" pan, uncovered, and bake 20 min. at 350 degrees. Drain off grease, if any. Pour hot sauce over and bake 15 min more.
Sauce:
1 (16oz) bottle chili sauce
1 can jellied cranberry sauce
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
Heat before pouring over meatballs.
