Bran Muffins - Grandma Quass' recipe
Ingredients
2 c All-Bran cereal2 c boiling water
4 eggs, beaten
3 c sugar
1/2 lb margarine
1 quart buttermilk
5 c flour
5 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
4 cups Bran flakes or Bran Buds cereal
Instructions
Combine all-bran and boiling water. Cream sugar & marg and beat in eggs. Comine bran mixture. Add buttermilk. Blend in dry ingredients. Stir in bran flakes.Bake in paper lined muffin tins at 375 degrees for 12-16 min.
Bake entire recipe & freeze or batter may be refrigerated for later use. Will keep for one month stored tightly covered in refrigerator.
