Peanut Blossoms
Ingredients
1/2 c sugar1/2 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c peanut butter
1/2 c shortening
1 tsp soda
1 3/4 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
40 milk chocolate candy kisses or stars
Instructions
Combine all ingredients, except candy, in lg mixing bowl. Mix on lowest speed of mixer until dough forms. Shape dough into balls, using a rounded teaspoon for each. Roll balls in sugar, plance on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Top each cookie with a candy kiss/star, press down firmly so cookiecreacks around edge. Makes about 48 cookies.A Christmas "must have."
