Symphony Bars
These are rich and yummy.
Ingredients
1 c butter2 c sugar
4 eggs
3 tsp vanilla
2 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 c chopped pecans
2 oz semi sweet chocolate (melted)
Frosting:
5 Tbsp flour
1 c butter
2 tsp vanilla
1 c milk
1 c sugar
Instructions
Cream butter, gradually add sugar and beat until fluffy. Beat in eggs & vanilla. Gradually add flour & salt to creamed mixture. Blend in nuts. Divide dough in half, add melted chocolate to one half. Spread white layer in bottom of buttered 9 x 13” pan. Spread chocolate layer on top. Bake @ 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool in pan.Frosting
Cook flour & milk until thick. Cool thoroughly. Cream butter, sugar, milk and vanilla. Gradually add cooked flour/milk. Beat on high speed5 minutes. Frosting will be really fluffy. Spread on bars.
