Chicken and Dressing
Got this from Julie Carruthers at Wright School
Very good for bigger group.
Ingredients
One chicken - boiled or baked and meat picked from bone2 c chicken broth, canned
4 oz mushrooms
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Salt and pepper
Combine the above and simmer and thicken with a little milk and flour.
Add diced chicken. Then spread into greased 9x13 baking dish.
Place in a greased 9 x13" baking dish
Instructions
Dressing Topping3/4 loaf bread - cut into cubes
2 tbsp onion
1 c celery, diced
Cook onion and celery until tender in 2 cups of chicken broth (can use the broth from the boiled chicken for this).
Stir in 2 eggs with bread and salt and pepper and a little sage.
Spoon this mixture on top of chicken mixture and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
