Sauerkraut Salad
Ingredients
1 large can sauerkraut1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/2 c green pepper, chopped
1/2 c celery, finely chopped
1/2 tsp celery seed
1 small jar pimentos, optional
Instructions
Bring to a boil: 1 cup sugar & 1/2 cup sauerkraut juice (1/2 c vinegar may be used instead of kraut juice). Cool. Combine the drained vegetables. Mix all & store in refrigerator. Make the day before you wish to use. Keeps for at least a week in refrigerator.Salad just like the one they served in the Amana Colonies.
