Cherry Angel Delight from Iowa Farmer
Ingredients
1 angel food cake mix, prepared and baked per instructions1, 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
1 c powdered sugar
2 c heavy cream, whipped, or 1 large Cool Whip, thawed
1 can cherry pie filling
Instructions
When cake is baked and cool, break into bite-sized pieces. Beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.Whip the cream (or use the Cool Whip) and blend with the cream cheese-powdered sugar mixture.
Very gently fold in the cake pieces. Pour into a 9x13" pan.
Spread cherry pie filling over all. Chill 3-4 hours before serving.
Blueberry pie filling also works well as a topping.
