My Sugar Cookies
I have made these for holidays, Christmas especially, since we were married in 1974. Our favorite way to eat them is when they are frozen! YUM! YUM!
I repeat AGAIN. Must use buttercream frosting using whipping cream as the liquid!
Ingredients
1 c margarine, soft1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 c sugar
3 eggs
3 1/2 c flour
2 tps cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
Cream margarine & vanilla. Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each one. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Chill at least 3 hours.Roll out on lightly floured surface and cut in shapes desired. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 6-8 minutes.
Must frost with Powdered sugar frosting made with real butter, Watkins vanilla and WHIPPING CREAM as the liquid. They won't be near as good without frosting made with whipping cream. I make ALL my. Utter cream frosting using whipping cream as the liquid!!!!!!!!
