Holiday Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients
8-10 potatoes1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese
1 c sour cream
1 stick butter or margarine
paprika
chives (optional)
garlic salt or 1 small chopped garlic bud
onion salt
Instructions
cook potatoes; drain. Add butter or margarine stick to melt. Beat sour cream and cream cheese at medium speed until blended. Add hot potatoes gradually, beating constantly until light and fluffy. If too stiff, add a little warm milk. Season to taste with garlic and onion salt. Spoon potatoes into 2 qt casserole dish. Dot with butter. Sprinkle with paprika and brown.Can be refrigerated for several days before serving. Then just put in 350 degree oven and bake about 1 hour. If not refrigerated, 30 minutes in enough.
I put in a crock pot and refrigerate the day before. Turn on crock pot several hours before serving. Be sure to turn off crock pot when serving or edges will get too brown.
