Cranberry Date Bars
Ingredients
1 - 12 oz pkg cranberries1 - 8 oz pkg pitted chopped dates
1 tsp vanilla
2 c flour
2 c oatmeal
1 1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 c melted butter
Glaze:
2 c powdered sugar
2-3 tbsp orange juice
1/2 tsp vanilla
Instructions
Boil cranberries and dates according to pkg directions (1 c water & 1 c sugar) until cranberries pop. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Set aside and cool.Mix dry ingredients and butter until struesel consistency. Pat 1/2 of mixture in 9x13" pan. Bake 10 min @ 350 degrees.
Pour cranberry mixture over crust and top w/remaining struesel mixture. Bake 20 min @ 350 degrees
Drizzle with glaze while warm.
Note: could add some chopped nuts if desired.
