Pumpkin Bread
Ingredients
3 1/2 C flour
3 C sugar
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp salt
Sift in large bowl. Make a well in the flour.
Add:
4 eggs
2 cans (15 oz) pumpkin purée
2/3 C water
1 C Crisco oil
Instructions
Mis well and add 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts. (Optional) Divide into 3 greased and floured loaf pans (medium size). Bake 50-60 min at 350 degrees. Check at 50 min with a toothpick in the center to see if it comes out clean. If so, remove from oven. If not, bake another 10 minutes and test again. Let loaves sit and cool for 10 minutes. Then Turn on side on wire rack for 10 minutes. Turn completely over and loaf should drop from pan. Finishing cooling. Then bag to serve or freeze.
