Broccoli Soup
Ingredients
4 tbsp oleo
1 1/2 c chopped onions
bay leaf
1 med. chopped green pepper
1 c chopped broccoli
2 1/2 c water
2 c milk
1/2 c sour cream
pinch allspice
dash black and white pepper
dash turmeic
dash basil
dash thyme
1 c broccoli flowerettes
Instructions
Saute oleo, onions and bay leaf. Add green pepper and the chopped broccoli. Add 2 1/2 c water. Cook 10 minutes. Puree slowly with 2 c milk in blender. Whip in 1/2 c sour cream. Add allspice, black pepper, white pepper, turmeric, basil and thyme. Steam the broccoli flowerettes until just done. Add to soup, heat gently (don't boil.) Serve.
