Snickerdoodles
Ingredients
1 c shortening
2 eggs
2 tsp cream of tartar
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 c sugar
2 3/4 c flour
1 tsp soda
2 tsp sugar
Instructions
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Cream shortening, sugar and egggs. Add flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Shape dough into 1" balls, roll in mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 min. NOTE: Cookie will puff first then flatten. Makes 5 dozen.
