Slow Cooker Parmesan Honey Pork Roast
Take the roast out on time, do not let in stay in the cooker too long. Not my favorite roast recipe, but it will certainly do if you are limited on ingredients.
Ingredients
4 # pork loin roast
2/3 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
1/2 cup honey
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons basil
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water
Instructions
Cut roast in half and place in a slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine the cheese, honey, soy sauce, basil, garlic, oil, and salt. Mix well and pour over pork loin. Cover and cook on low for 5 1/2 to 6 hours or until the temperature of the meat reaches 160 F. Remove meat to a serving platter and keep warm. Skim fat from the cooking juices and transfer to a small saucepan. Bring liquid to a boil. Combine cornstarch and water until smooth. Gradually stir into pan and bring to a boil. Cook and stir for two minutes until thickened. Slice roast and serve with gravy. Makes 12 servings.
