Pecan Pie Cake
Ingredients
1 box yellow cake mix, divided
1/3 cup vegetable oil
5 eggs
1 cup light corn syrup
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups pecans
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F. Mix cake mix, reserving 1/3 cup dry cake mix, 1 egg and 1/3 cup oil. Press into 9 x 13 inch baking pan and bake for 30 minutes. Beat 1/3 cup dry cake mix, 4 eggs, light corn syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla. Then add pecans to mixture. Pour over crust and bake for 25 minutes with foil on top and then 20 minutes without the foil. Slice into squares when cool. Makes 24 servings.
