Best Family French Toast
Ingredients
12 slices Texas Toast
3 large eggs
1/3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
Instructions
Preheat griddle to 325 F. Combine eggs, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl, and whisk into a smooth paste. Add brown sugar, milk and vanilla, whisking to combine. Dip bread slices into batter, coating evenly on both sides. Place onto greased griddle and cook on each side until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar and top with maple syrup. Cool any unused toast on a wire rack, and then place in a freezer bag with wax paper between each slice. Make 6 servings.
